The Co-op gives back to the community in many ways. Besides member ownership and sharing in the profits of the operation of the business, the co-op provides sponsorships, donations and support to many groups and organizations. One of the significant programs is the Community Group Fundraising Program, where local eligible organizations register with the Co-op. The groups have the members of their organization save their till receipts from the co-op food stores and C-store. These receipts are returned in spring and fall and the Co-op issues the group a cheque for a percentage of the receipts.
